For Current Students

ACTCM is proud to have a vibrant, extraordinary community of students from all over the world. Our students serve as a resource within the program; they bring with them a rich variety of educational, professional and life experience to the classroom and clinical training experience. The ACTCM student body is diverse, composed of both adult learners with varied professional experience and individuals who have recently graduated from colleges and universities.

ACTCM is committed through the support services we provide to assist students in achieving their educational goals and enhancing their personal, intellectual and professional development.

When new students arrive at ACTCM they receive a guide prepared for them by their peers. The most updated version of this Student Handbook is always available on our website or in the office of Student Affairs.

Each term the office of Student Affairs works with the CIIS Student Union to plan Brown Bag lunchtime presentation, workshops and community events.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) offers and supports a variety of CIIS experiences, including the Bridge Program for incoming first-year students, diversity workshops, extracurricular events and conversations, dialogues on justice, teach-ins, film screenings, and academic program orientations.

Through these events and the resources, ODI strives to work with the CIIS community to engage the entire institution in meaningful dialogues and actions that lead to introspection and change, affecting not only the academic environment and student experience at CIIS, but the community beyond. ODI also hopes to challenge students to enhance their writing, research, and overall education during their time at CIIS, while supporting faculty and staff in creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable classrooms and curriculums.

ODI’s open door policy welcomes all students, staff, and faculty to drop in to chat about ways to get involved, learn more about diversity resources, or simply connect by emailing frestrepo@ciis.edu.
