Justin Shin was on a set track for a career in Western Sciences after his fellowship with the FDA. However, having received acupuncture for most of his life, he felt there was intrinsic aspect missing from his experiences.
Now, at the start of his 3rd year in the DACM program and being the first TCM student to intern at UCSF Osher Hospital, he’s passionate about sharing the importance of having an integrated health system. While his practice in TCM and Western Medicine has helped him move forward with his goals, he states that passion toward serving patients is one of the most important elements needed to be successful at ACTCM.
