ACTCM Receives Donation from Lhasa OMS, Inc

ACTCM is thrilled to announce that we received a sizeable donation of needles from Lhasa OMS, Inc. in June 2010. This generous gift of 180 boxes of needles will supply our Community Clinics’ needs for months, thereby helping us continue to deliver quality care to our diverse patient population.

ACTCM offers low-cost and donation-based acupuncture services in our Community Acupuncture Clinics, a group of five teaching clinics located throughout San Francisco. In running these clinics, ACTCM is expanding access to health care to segments of the population who would otherwise be unable to afford such valuable treatment- namely the poor and uninsured. Additionally, our clinics treat many patients with chronic conditions such as stroke, back pain, HIV, as well as drug and alcohol addictions. Our clinics treat over 20,000 diverse, urban, and primarily low-income patients per year, and are the only teaching clinics in San Francisco.

Lhasa OMS, Inc. is the oldest supplier of acupuncture needles and alternative healthcare medical supplies in the United States. They have a strong commitment to supporting the greater TCM community and have repeatedly donated to ACTCM. We are so grateful for Lhasa OMS Inc’s contribution this year.
