Charity Burgess is a licensed acupuncturist and medical qi gong practitioner who owns Silk Tree Healing Center in San Francisco where she offers acupuncture and Chinese herbs to patients with chronic health issues, stress and pain. Prior to becoming a student and practitioner of TCM a decade ago, Charity was a patient herself. She has seen TCM grow quickly in popularity, acceptance, and availability in the U.S. and feels confident that it will continue to become a primary medicine in Western culture as preference for less invasive treatments and natural medicine grows.
