Key Presenter: Jamie Goodman, LAc
Jamie Goodman, who holds a BS from UC Berkeley and a MS from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Science, has been practicing Chinese Medicine in San Francisco for 18 years. She specializes in reproductive health and also treats a myriad of other conditions. Jamie noticed that many patients, male and female, young and old, and from all socioeconomic groups, were using cannabis. With changing laws, more patients had questions and were welcoming conversation about their cannabis use. So, in an effort to better serve patients, Jamie pursued the study of cannabis medicine. She would like acupuncturists and herbalists to have access to the current science and thinking about cannabis, in order to guide patients to improved health with respect to this herb.
Sara Payan, guest speaker, a graduate of CIIS, will be sharing her experience as a cancer survivor and patient advocate.
