face treatmentThis workshop is an introduction to the application of Chinese medicine into health, wellness, and modern beauty.  It is designed for the public participant, however, there will be discussion of concepts that will be engaging for the current student or practitioner of TCM and Acupuncture as well. This workshop is an opportunity to learn, interact, and have fun together as we talk about everything in beauty from Botulinum Toxin (Botox) to Zhen Zhu (Pearl Powder).

Amy Petrarca, MS, RN, L.Ac, Dipl. OM, has been in health-care for over twenty years.  After a long career in Emergency Nursing, Amy reinvented herself as a holistic practitioner.  She graduated from ACTCM in 2006 and launched her own company, BiaoHealth in 2007.  In 2010, Amy was exposed to The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and has been pursuing coursework with IFM for the last five years.   She is a professional member of IFM, the American Holistic Health Association, a Board Certified Registered Nurse, Board Certified Acupuncturist, and a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine.  In 2005, she met Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, and was introduced to Facial Constitutional Acupuncture.  Completing the Gold Standard Facial Acupuncture certification in 2013, Amy was one of only ten international acupuncturists invited to attend the Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Foundations course Teacher Training in New York.  Amy is pleased to bring her love of Chinese Medicine, Wellness, & Beauty to her alum school, ACTCM in this premiere public class offering spring of 2015.
