The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) is proud to announce becoming the first and only Northern California school to be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) for its Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program.
The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco received full accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) for its Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program. ACTCM is now the first and only school in Northern California able to offer such an accredited program
“Having received full accreditation from the Commission is reflective of the integrity and strength of the ACTCM doctoral program,” said Director of the Doctoral Program and Research Dr. Carla J. Wilson, DAOM, MA, L.Ac. “We are proud of our success and know that this step will enable practitioners in the field of AOM to engage in doctoral studies that will open doors for the greater profession.”
The Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) is the national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for the accreditation and pre-accreditation ("Candidacy") throughout the United States of first-professional master's degree and professional master's-level certificate and diploma programs in acupuncture and Oriental medicine and professional post-graduate doctoral programs in acupuncture and Oriental medicine (DAOM).
The accreditation furthers ACTCM’s commitment to providing practitioners in the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine a doctoral degree that can open up ground breaking opportunities to work in integrated health care environments. Anyone who has previously received the degree may now indicate that they graduated from an accredited program.
