ACTCM recommends that students begin the application process as
early as possible submitting the FAFSA in the spring of the year preceding enrollment. In order for funds to be available at registration we
strongly recommend that two months be allowed for the process from submission of the FAFSA to receipt of loan funds. As both the lender
and the guarantor must approve any loan prior to the end of the loan
period, students must not wait until the end of the loan period to begin
the application process.
Applicants may begin the process prior to admission to the program.
There are no deadlines in applying for Federal Stafford Loans and Federal Grad Plus Loans. However, applications will be processed in
the order received. Awarding of limited Campus-Based Financial Aid, including Federal Perkins Loans, and Federal Work Study, may be
prioritized by application date. Applications are not considered complete until all required forms and documents are received properly
completed in the Financial Aid Office.
The fastest way to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) is on the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov
using ACTCM School Code 030782. Students who are continuing recipients of financial aid
may file the Renewal FAFSA provided you have been provided with a PIN by the federal processor.
Students whose enrollment will begin in any quarter from Summer
through Spring should file the FAFSA for the current academic year, e.g. the
2007-2008 FAFSA for all periods of enrollment which begin
Summer 2007 through Spring 2008.
