ACTCM is aware of the high costs associated with moving and relocating to a new area and the financial demands associated with such a transition. As a result, the Admissions Office will select 8 students each year to benefit from a “transitions scholarship”. Each quarter, two students will be awarded $600 each to help alleviate the cost of relocating.

Two students will be chosen in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer quarters to receive $600 each based on eligibility as outlined below.

Eligibility (Preference will be given to students based on the following)

• Financial need (Student must apply for financial aid at ACTCM)

• Out-of-area residents (although Bay Area applicants will be considered)

• Incoming full-time degree-seeking students

Application Process

1st year students who wish to be considered for the scholarship will be required to:

• Submit a complete application package for admission into ACTCM’s full-time Master’s program.

• Fill out a scholarship application including a brief essay explaining why he or she has financial need for the award and turn it into the Admissions office before February 1st for Spring Applicants and before August 1st for Fall applicants.

Award

The award will be determined by financial need with priority given to out-of-area applicants due to the additional costs associated with the move to the Bay Area.
