Alumna Sarah Halverstadt Appears on
KRON
Channel 4's "Beauty Bonanza"
On March 25, 2007 ACTCM Alumna Sarah Halverstadt (c2004) appeared live on San Francisco's KRON Channel 4 Morning News. Halverstadt
was the main guest invited to speak on the topic of Facial Rejuvination
Acupuncture, as part of the program's "Beauty Bonanza" series. This three-week series showcases local San Francisco Bay Area businesses
that offer treatments and services that let their customers feel
beautiful inside and out.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe and gentle method of reducing
the signs of aging. It uses fine, hair-like acupuncture needles
inserted in specific points to stimulate circulation along energetic
pathways of the face and body called "meridians". There are two
important components: the 'local' treatment and the 'root' treatment.
Local treatment directly addresses facial aging symptoms seen on
the face. Root treatment addresses the underlying cause of facial
symptoms such as emotional stress, hormonal imbalance or digestive
problems.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is for anyone wanting a little lift
to their look and their health. Acupuncture improves collagen production
and muscle tone, helps reduce bags under the eyes and sagging of
the skin. It helps to eliminate fine lines, diminish larger wrinkles
and reduce double chin. Treatment may tighten pores, brighten the
eyes and lift droopy eyelids. It also increases local blood flow
and lymph circulation, which in turn moistens and revitalizes the
skin.
Halverstadt gradated from the American College of Traditional Chinese
Medicine in 2004 and currently maintains a private practice in San Francisco. Her general practice includes acupuncture, Chinese herbal
therapy, cupping, nutritional counseling and moxibustion. Sarah specializes in facial rejuvenation acupuncture and has a special
interest in women‚s health. Sarah currently volunteers her time
and services at the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic, a health
clinic which offers services and treatment to low-income women dealing
with cancer.
KRON began broadcasting from San Francisco on November 15, 1949
as an NBC affiliate. Since January 1, 2002, KRON has been an independent
station serving over 2 million TV homes in 11 Bay Area counties.
KRON is known for its popular shows such as "Bay Area Backroads",
"Bay Cafe", Bay Area Living" and "Pacific Fusion".
