Accreditation & Approval

Both the Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) degree program of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as ACTCM’s clinical Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), the U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting agency for the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.

Licensure and Certification
The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is approved by the California Acupuncture Board and graduates of the MSTCM program are eligible to take the California Acupuncture Licensing Examination. For licensure information contact:

The comprehensive MSTCM program also meets the licensure requirements of most states that license practitioners of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Licensure requirements vary from state to state, and prospective students are advised to contact the appropriate agency in the state in which they intend to practice for information on specific licensure requirements.

Graduates of the MSTCM program are eligible to take the examination and become certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. For more information, contact:
